New England Beans and Franks
Serving Amount: 6 servings
Ingredients:
| 1 pkg (13.5 oz) Smart Dogs® Jumbo, cut into 1-inch pieces | | 1 pkg (5 oz) Smart Bacon®, cut into 1-inch pieces | | 2 teaspoons vegetable oil | | 1 cup onions, diced | | 1 cup ketchup | | 1/2 cup maple syrup | | 2 tablespoons dry mustard | | 1 tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce | | 2 cans (15oz each) navy beans, drained and rinsed | | 1 1/2 teaspoon salt | | 3/4 teaspoon pepper |
Heat oven to 300°F. In a medium skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and cook about 5 minutes or until soft.
In a large bowl, whisk together ketchup, maple syrup, mustard and soy sauce. Stir in onion, beans, Smart Dogs and Smart Bacon; season with salt and pepper.
Transfer to a two-quart baking dish; cover with foil and bake about 30 minutes or until sauce bubbles.
